We truly loved our stay at Hotel Kawa and are so pleased that we chose to stay there over anywhere in Salento town. The location is incredible and it felt like a true mountainside retreat - definitely one of our favourite hotel stays in Colombia

Amazing place! Amazing staff! Great hospitality!

The property was located in a great place, not far from cocoa valley and it was a beautiful location

The property was very cozy and well presented. The only thing was they didn’t have 2 single or double beds in one room. I think it’s more of a couple place but me and my friends was traveling together so they gave us a room with a double and a sofa bed. Other than that it was great.

A little stay in paradise

We debated staying here because it is the most expensive place we stayed in Colombia, but it was so worth it. The views!! The relaxing atmosphere, comfortable cabins, and the amazing staff all combined to provide a luxury experience that left us feeling rested and relaxed. The food and drinks were also top notch. I highly recommend treating yourself to a few days here.

Our cabin was at the top of a *steep* hill... Just an FYI that it's not that accessible if you have reduced mobility.

It was within walking distance from salento without being in the middle of the town so it was quiet and had the best view!

It would be nice to be able to have a cocktail any time of the day.

Best hotel in Colombia!

The location is top tier, the food is amazing, and the available activities were excellent. Luis checked us in and was a great host. He offered us an extra blanket and a heater for the night. He told us he could arrange a ride for us to get back from town if we wanted. We did the full day activity plan, and Yeiner was our guide. He told us all about the history of cocora Valley and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. The town felt very safe and there was more to do than we had time for. We did the horse ride tour to the coffee farm and learned a lot about the processes of harvesting and preparing coffee. The horses were happy and well cared for. The room was as beautiful as the view, and the bathroom was large and stunning. I want to make Kawa hotel my go-to vacation spot. The whole staff was amazing, even the dog, Jacinta. Honestly I don't want anyone else to know about this hotel because I want to keep it a secret!

I wish we would have booked more nights.

Incredible views, incredible people, incredible food

Absolutely loved staying here. The views and scenery were breathtaking, the food was super tasty, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. It was super quick and easy to get into town. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

Stunning, relaxing environment

The views are breath taking. Comfortable rooms with balcony. Food at the hotel is delicious but I also highly recommend Maji by Ceron in Salento. Staff are very helpful and will assist in organising tours. Do take an early morning walk around the property with Johnny - a treat!

Paradise

Everything, imagine yourself in the middle of a jungle in the mountains, surrounded by the most luxuriant nature. True paradise and such an amazing place after the constant noise of Cartagena and Medellín. Best place I have stayed in Colombia. The staff is absolutely charming, the food is exquisite. Talking about the room, it feels like home. I loved the fact there is no TV, and that everything in the room is harmonious. The hot tub outside is great after a day walking in the rain. I only wish I could have stayed longer … (still dreaming about that warm and comforting welcome drink ) thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

Peaceful and Memorable Stay at Kawa

Our stay at Kawa exceeded expectations. The staff was attentive and friendly and they happily provided us with recommendations for restaurants (Bumi and Cumana were our favorites) and activities (Finca La Carbonera was incredible!). The hotel itself and its surroundings were beautiful and serene. They had filtered water available in the rooms and reception. We found the room to be very comfortable and clean and really enjoyed sitting out on our porch in the hammock. The food at the hotel was also great; we ate breakfast there everyday and had dinner there once (highly recommend la infusion to drink). Getting to the heart of Salento was easy via a short walking path, though the flashlights from reception are definitely needed at night! Overall, our stay was very memorable and peaceful. We would 100% go back to Kawa if in the coffee region again.

Amazing getaway in paradise!

Our stay at Kawa was so peaceful and perfect. The small touches like fresh juice upon arrival, hot drinks at 5 pm, fresh jug of water everyday, and a hot shower were some of our favorite parts. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious (highly recommend the coconut mojito and mango margarita). The views were unbeatable and the walk to town wasn’t too difficult. The tours offered by the hotel were really fun and the guides were so friendly and kind. The staff was great! I recommend getting a massage as well - the price and quality can’t be beat!

No complaints whatsoever. Our stay was perfect.

This is one of the most beautiful places that we have ever been! Carlitos (reception), Albani (waitress), Claudia (masseuse) and all the other staff (sorry we don't know your names!) are incredible friendly and they are willing to help you with every question. The food of the hotel is amazing! Both breakfast and dinner are recommended to try. The room is very spacious and it has a big bath room (especially the shower!). We had the deluxe room with balcony and what a view over the valley! The room has been cleaned every day perfectly. The centre of Salento is only a 5 minute walk away when you take the shortcut on the backside of the hotel. It's really safe in Salento. Never felt threatened or unsafe. We booked a hiking tour with Acaime to La Carbonera. Great tour and the guys really take care of you. They also told us a lot about the nature. Really recommended! We loved everything, but just for the information of everyone the location is a bit outside of the town, so be prepared to call a taxi (around 5€) or to walk for 10 minutes in the jungle (with a very easy path). To have this amazing view it is necessary to be a bit outside of the town
